Hello Community! I want to take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Cassidy Davis and I am the owner of Northern Nevada HotSpot as well as the founder of a local organization, Faith Hope Love of Northern Nevada. I created my business as well as my organization to help bless the lives of those in our local Northern Nevada communities. I use to wonder what my life purpose was and how I could help to make a difference. I tried a few things here and there, but never felt I was really doing anything that truly blessed anyone.

Today is Nevada Moves Day where schoolchildren will be walking and riding their bikes to and from school. Motorists may want to be especially careful as there are more kids on the sidewalks and crosswalks than usual.

The weather service says expect partly sunny skies and a high of 55.

Today will bring partly sunny skies with a high around 53. There's a slight chance of rain Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the 50s. Schools and most all state, local and national government offices are closed for the day. Ahead, skies are clearing and the storm overnight has begun to move out. After 10 a.m. the National Weather services says we will have sunny skies with a high of 39.

Hello Carson City and welcome to Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019. With snow plow efforts underway and a warm-up from Mother Nature, it looks like the morning commute will be a slushy one. Carson City schools will operate today at normal start times. That all may change tomorrow though as a significant winter storm is expected to bring snow and rain to the valley and feet of snow to Lake Tahoe and the Sierra. Stay tuned.

My name is Christine Renee Miller and I passed away in Carson City this last Wednesday, January 9, at 9:02 p.m.

I was born in Reno on May 16, 1979 and placed in the arms of an angel. I grew up with the love of a wonderful family in Carson City and departed with their blessing.

I went to school at Carson High and graduated in 1997 with good memories and even better friends. I brought two beautiful daughters into this world and passed away with them by my side.
