We were greatly saddened and angered by the October 1 attack launched by a terrorist from MGM’s Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas on the Route 91 Harvest Festival 2017 music concert.

The people we know who were at the concert all had left prior to the attack or managed to get away unharmed. But we have friends who lost people in this horrendous attack. And even folks who did not know anyone directly affected by this mass murder are rightly shocked, angered and troubled by it.

The Constitution is the greatest achievement of man to date in defining a government to sustain Liberty for its people. Governments exist between two poles of thought. One pole is the Government is all important and powerful and people exist to serve the Government (slave). The other pole is People create governments to protect their Rights (free). The statist liberal crowd is used to controlling media narratives, and they don’t brook dissent or facts and logic that undermine their control.

When a conservative brings up a valid point or question, they get flustered and angry. Instead of a thoughtful, constructive, respectful answer, the conservative often gets shouted down, not debated in a reasonable exchange between civilized discussants.

The elections in November 2014 were a great surprise to many and shock to some. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is a gun man, always has been.
And although the Nevada native has welcomed the call by President Barack Obama to respond to the Newtown, Conn., massacre with action, Reid has yet to endorse — or even utter the phrase — “gun control.”
