Roots Raconteur Ray Bonneville returns to Silver City for one exclusive show at the historic Silver City Schoolhouse, 385 High Street, on Saturday, Jan. 19 at 7 p.m.

On Wednesday, Dec. 19, Chris ‘CW’ Bayer will be entertaining the members of the Leisure Hour Club, Carson City’s oldest continuously meeting social organization. According to CW Bayer, he will be “singing and telling lies” for the Club during his performance.

Home Ranch for the Holidays, a celebration of the season that includes a vintage toy exhibit, music and treats, returns to Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 15-16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

It’s a holly, jolly Christmas! Cherie Shipley and Lake Tahoe Entertainment present the 17th Annual Community Holiday Show “JOYFUL NOISE.”

It is with great sadness that the family of the Reverend Robert J. Chambers announce his passing away on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada, surrounded by his family. Rev. Chambers of Carson City was 84.

Jason performs at clubs around the country, from the Laugh Factory in Hollywood to Carolines on Broadway. He performs overseas for the troops and on the seas for cruise lines. His clips are played daily on Sirius XM.

The Brewery Arts Center in Carson City will feature the return of Blarney Man this Saturday as part of the Celtic Music Series.

Great news! Keith Alan Barnett is joining Dale Poune for one night only at Bella Fiore Wines this Saturday evening, Nov. 3 beginning at 6 p.m.

Dale Poune is a musician and songwriter. He plays guitar, bass, mandolin, dobro and sings. Poune is experienced at Rock, Blues, R&B, Country, smooth jazz and Bluegrass. He has performed with the Lacy J. Dalton, The Fortunes, Buddy Miles, David Frizzell, Johnny Lee, Paulette Carlson (HWY 101) and Marty Haggard.

The 2018-2019 Celtic Music Series at the Brewery Arts Center opens with the traditional Irish and Scottish music of Cooking With Turf, an acoustic trio from California’s Central Valley. This season opener happens at the Brewery Arts Center’s Performance Hall Theater this Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 7:00 PM.

What can I say that I haven’t already said about The Floyd? I’ve been covering their shows since 2014, and have never been disappointed.

The combination of Vincent Gates (guitars, bass guitar, lead vocals), Dean Rossi (drums), Curt Mitchell (guitars, slide guitar, vocals), Lisa McCuiston (bass guitar, guitars, tambourine, vocals), Rob Lawrence (keyboards, vocals) and Jeff Laakso (keyboards, saxophones, guitars, vocals) is hard to beat when it comes to recreating the iconic compositions of Pink Floyd.

The Floyd, Carson City’s award winning resident Pink Floyd cover band, will once again be rocking the town with its laser show and psychedelic tribute.

The concert will take place Saturday, October 13 in the Bob Boldrick Theater at the Carson City Community Center, located at 851 E. Williams Street.

Reno's "Loud as Folk" is a monthly music showcase featuring local songwriters and musicians. The "Runnin out of Daylight Tour" will have Carson City's Brewery Arts Center as one of its tour stops, which includes Nevada, California, Oregon, and Washington.

Next year, Vincent Gates, the owner of Carson City’s local music shop, Play Your Own Music, is celebrating his 30th year in the music business.

Time for some Sunday holiday adventure. The Carson Nugget has something special tonight, a Van Halen Tribute Band plays two concerts in their upstairs ballroom. For a lazy afternoon in the shade, you’ll find live music on the porch of the Genoa Bar. The Tahoe Orchestra brings their annual 9/11 Memorial Concert to St. Gall’s Church in Gardnerville. It’s nice that the beginning of the school year is almost immediately rewarded with a three-day weekend. Lake Tahoe concertgoers have the great opportunity to catch Samantha Fish Thursday night at the Crystal Bay Casino. A singer, guitarist and songwriter, Fish is on a rapid pace. She released two albums last year, “Belle of the West” and “Chills and Fever.”

The Brewery Arts Center presents Dennis Johnson and the Mississippi Rambers Saturday night, Aug. 18 at 7 p.m. as part of the Levitt AMP Carson City free music series presented by The Change Companies.

Singer and song writer Mike Beck will bring Western Americana music to Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 16.

Due to heavy smoke settling on the area, the RoseBud's Dance Band's performance for Monday, Aug. 6, as part of the Carson City Jazz and Beyond Music and Art Festival has been moved to inside the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall, 511 W. King St. The concert was originally planned for Comma Courtyard, but the performers want to present the event in a comfortable and healthy atmosphere.

Reno-based Chakrapani Singh has been working to promote the music of India for the last 20 years. Singh is an award-winning and internationally respected instrumentalist with a unique repertoire ranging from traditional, classical compositions on the slide guitar to his innovative improvisational renditions on the Kachappi Veena, a plucked stringed instrument originating in ancient India.

Two were arrested Sunday evening after allegedly smoking methamphetamine in the parking lot of a casino on Goni Road, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.
