Grab the kids, your friends, and family and enjoy carnival rides, county exhibits, civil war reenactments and much more. Our neighbors to the south are celebrating, too: the 106th Annual Carson Valley Days is this weekend. If you’re looking for something quieter, the lecture on the Civil War at the Gold Hill Hotel or an author’s talk on the Ghost Railroads of Central Nevada at the Nevada State Railroad Museum might be a better bet.

Policymakers say innovative transportation plans are necessary for Lake Tahoe's future

The future of transportation at the lake was also addressed with speakers affirming the need for improved roadways and access to alternative methods of transportation.

The legislation requires dogs and cats from research facilities to be made available for adoption. It was authored by State Sen. Mark Manendo, in honor of Calvin, a beagle that was rescued from a research facility in California, rehabilitated and placed in a caring home.

At a glance looking at the Governor’s Sandoval’s bill this sounds like an appealing option, but go a little deeper and you will see that this could be a devastating decision for many of the people who are the backbone of our business community. In a signed Certificate of Recognition presented to Zed, Governor Sandoval wrote: “Congratulations on this memorable milestone!”
“Faith Forum”, a highly popular one-of-a-kind weekly dialogue on religion at a Pulitzer winner Reno Gazette-Journal in Nevada, completed four years of publication on Feb. 4.

With the advent of the ACA, NDOC decided to do away with private insurance for its prisoners needing inpatient services.

Mass was given by Bishop Randolph R. Calvo of Reno. The St. Teresa Schools students from the 3rd, 4th and 5th grades sang in the chorus. A special song was performed by the students for the Governor, "Home Means Nevada."
