The Littlest Things Hosts Summer Tea Party

The Littlest things will be holding our annual tea party at the Governor's Mansion this year.

This event is one of our two annual fundraisers helping to raise funds for the animals we rescue and the farm animals in our petting zoo.

The American Tea Mistresses will be there. We have a great silent Auction planned, terrific raffle prizes, food and tea!

The Littlest Things non-profit rescues animals, holds petting zoo events teaching families how to care for farm animals, and hosts kindness events in the community.

Dayton, Nevada – Healthy Communities Coalition’s Dayton Food Pantry, located on Enterprise Way and Highway 50 in Dayton, will remain open during its normal hours of 10a.m. - 4p.m. Monday through Thursday during the holidays.

The distribution of USDA Commodities will continue as normal on the 3rd Saturday of each month at Sutro Elementary from noon to 3pm.

Manager Alie Trier notes that volunteers of all ages are warmly welcomed.

Tickets are now on sale for the annual Celebrity Chef and Harvest Dinner, which takes place Nov. 7 at Cafe at Adele’s. Walmart helps sustain food pantries and job programs in rural Nevada communities

There was a lot of laughter and many hugs at a luncheon in Silver Springs as Bruce Barlow of Walmart presented a check for $70,000 to benefit the Dayton and Silver Stage Food Pantries.

Each summer, pantry volunteers, staff and participants host a lunchtime tour with key Walmart representatives to show their appreciation.

Carson City shred event Saturday raises more than $1,300 for Special Olympics of Nevada

Carson City residents got their shred on Saturday during a recycle event and barbecue to benefit Special Olympics of Nevada, raising $1,360 during the event.
