Forest Service seeks input for Winter Travel Management at Lake Tahoe

The Proposed Action was developed based on Forest Service criteria and feedback received from stakeholders during the Forest Plan Revision process, open house meetings and winter recreation collaborative meetings that occurred between 2011 and 2016.

The Hunt has become an honorary Nevada Day tradition for Carson City and the surrounding areas, during which clues are released to the community with the goal of finding the mysterious Treasure Hunt medallion before the other hunters. Carson Tahoe Health creates cancer triage line to assist patients with their treatment

Headphones, ear buds banned from CHS campus; Fremont Elementary ditches uniforms

“It’s a safety issue,” said Dan Davis of the Carson City School District. “While they’re on campus, if the principal or a teacher needs to audibly communicate with a student, they need to be able to hear them for safety reasons.”
Carson City hotel, motel tax discount ends after district attorney opinion

However, after an opinion issued by the District Attorney’s Office stating that the discount was never approved by the Board of Supervisors, the discount will no longer be applicable.
