Celebrate with the final day of the Stewart Father's Day Powwow, a bike ride with Muscle Powered, a tasty brunch hosted by the Carson City Emblem Club or a southern-style brunch, bingo and comedy fundraiser in the spirit of the late comedian Bea Arthur at Sassafras. There's Flag Day ceremonies at the Nevada Veterans Memorial and at the Elks Lodge. The Stewart Father’s Day Powwow happens Friday to Sunday and features hundreds of American Indian dancers, drummers artists and cultural enthusiasts. Lace up the tennis shoes for the Eastside Historical tour of the capital city hosted by Muscle Powered. Journey of Hope returns to Western Nevada College at 5 p.m. to settle into the evening. Open Mic Night at A to Zen will cap-off an eventful Friday heading into the weekend.
Carson City Emblem Club hosts Father's Day Brunch

This event runs from 9:30 a.m. to noon. A variety of breakfast choices will be offered and the public is invited to attend.
The event is at the the Elk's Lodge No. 2177, 515 N Nevada Street in Carson City. The cost is $12 per person.

Carson City Off-Road sponsored by Epic Rides has taken over downtown with everything mountain bike and plays host to a free Music Festival in McFadden Plaza. Don’t miss Arts and Culture Day at the Nevada State Railroad Museum with unlimited rides on the Steam Train, special vendors, and more. Stewart Indian School will be a hotspot of activity with the annual Fathers’ Day PowWow underway. This is just the tip of the iceberg, read on for more fun than you’ll know what to do with.

The Pow Wow continues at the Stewart Indian School, and Epic Rides is still downtown. Enjoy an afternoon at the golf course: a free family golf clinic is at Eagle Valley. Head to Heritage Park in Gardnerville for a car show celebrating the Great Race.

Epic Rides has taken over downtown with booths, bikes, beer, music, and more. The Carson City Airport is hosting their annual Fly-in and Open house, complete with hot air balloon rides. World War II aviation buffs won’t want to miss the Wings of Freedom tour at the Minden Airport. Steampunk meets Steam trains at the Nevada Railroad Museum. The Reno Rodeo is always a good time for the whole family. Or head over to Tahoe Ridge Winery for their CruZin and Cabernet Father’s Day Celebration. Dangberg Ranch, off Highway 88 in Minden, is kicking off their Summer Concert Series with the Nighthawks. Bring a chair or blanket, and the whole family.

The annual Powwow at the Stewart Indian School runs Friday through Sunday, so you’ll have plenty of time to see the dancing, peruse the crafts, and eat an Indian Taco. Don’t miss the Fly-in and Open House at the Carson City Airport: fun for the whole family. And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention one of Carson City’s favorite events: the Taste of Downtown. Music, food, and more from Carson Mall to Williams Street. Have a great time, and be safe.
