A raffle will be held during the breakfast. The robots and projects will be on display. Let our students show you all they have learned this season. Thank you for supporting the youth of Carson City.

Head over to Eagle Valley Middle School for a rummage sale benefiting their LEGO Robotics Team; you may find something fun for your patio. The Spring Fling Stop and Shop at the Plaza Hotel will help you spruce up your wardrobe. Or head up to Silver City for the big closing sale at Doodad’s Emporium. If you find yourself in Gardnerville, the First Annual Summer Splendor Showcase and Expo features vendors galore.

Local favorite Stereo Galaxy teams up with Southern California performer, Loc Lion, for a show at Sassafras. You’ll find the Remains at Westside Pour House, and Jaime Rollins keeps it rollin at Living the Good Life. Just Sayin’ is this months featured talent in the Brewery Arts Center’s Eclectic Electric Series.

On Thursday, March 19, the wonderful owners of Pizza Factory will donate 20 percent of the entire day's earnings back to EVMS. All you have to do is call for delivery, dine in or carry out (775-882-9800) some amazing pizzas, calzones, pastas or wings.

Today is National Pancake Day, so head over to the International House of Pancakes for your free short stack and donate to this year’s charity, the Children’s Miracle Network. The High Sierra Swing Dance Club hosts its monthly Swing Dance Party in the Ballroom of the Brewery Arts Center Saturday night. If you prefer to dance in cowboy boots, you can learn Country Line and Partner Dancing at the 11th Frame Lounge in Carson Lanes every Tuesday and Wednesday night.

Eagle Valley Middle School (EVMS) has a rich history and remains determined and focused to provide quality educational opportunities to the families it serves. Looking forward with its success from the past, EVMS is involved in a number of current endeavors, two of which will be highlighted here.

Time to reunite with family and loved ones and celebrate spring. New York City got in on the festivities with its first ever fireworks display for the Lunar New Year; I've included a YouTube video, just in case fireworks really are lucky.
The Pizza Factory on Hwy 50 East is holding a fundraiser for Eagle Valley Middle School today. 20% of the day’s proceeds will benefit their Parent Teacher Organization.

On Thursday, Feb. 19 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The Pizza Factory on Highway 50 East will be hosting "Eagle Valley Day" in which 20 percent of the entire day's earnings will go back to EVMS PTO to help with Student Lead Conferences.
Our staff works hard to provide our students with the education they need to get good grades and go farther in their education.

Today at the Legislature, they will be celebrating Nevada Tribes. A cultural presentation is in Room 3100 if you want to learn more about the Native people of the Great Basin.

Beginning swing dance lessons will be held at El Charro Avitas; go check out their brand new dance floor. Country Line dancing is taught at the 11th Frame lounge at Carson Lanes every Tuesday and Wednesday. Jimmy Mallett and Jack Clifton will be at Living the Good Life Nightclub and Bistro channeling all the swank of the rat pack.

On a more local level, today also brings the annual State of the State address delivered by our Governor, Brian Sandoval.

Please come down and dine in, pick up or have delivered some AWESOME pizzas, wings, sub sandwiches or pastas and the generous owners of PF will donate 20% of the entire day's earnings to the EVMS PTO.
This month's funds will go back towards purchasing snacks for the entire student body during SBAC exams.

Carson City schools begin 'Trick or Treat' Halloween food drive for FISH
Submitted by editor on Mon, 10/13/2014 - 4:43pmFriends in Service Helping, also known as FISH, will begin its annual “Trick or Treat for FISH” food drive Wednesday, Oct. 15. Carson City schools will participate in a contest for the students to collect non-perishable food to replenish the inventory at the FISH food bank. The food drive will run until Nov. 3 and will give FISH a boost for the high demand of the holiday season.
Eagle Valley Day Thursday at Carson City Pizza Factory
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Mon, 10/13/2014 - 10:02amIt is that time of the month again where you can come into Pizza Factory and help raise funds for our students and staff at Eagle Valley Middle School.
On Thursday, Oct. 16, 20 percent of the entire day's earnings will go towards our school's library this month. Many students cannot afford to purchase books or necessary literacy supplies that enable them to get a good education. And due to budget cuts, our admin is limited on what funds can and cannot be spent on.
