Column: ObamaCare's flawed wording
Submitted by admin on Wed, 03/28/2012 - 11:54amReading over the coverage of the Supreme Court's oral arguments over the fate of ObamaCare, you might get the impression that the conservative-leaning court will strike this law down.
While those people on each side of the political divide will have their opinions about this, I, as a person whose profession is all about writing and words, am struck by how the future of this law seems hinged on the wording in the legislation.
The major argument against ObamaCare has to do with the requirement that everyone must buy health insurance, otherwise known as the individual mandate.
Motorsports Wrap Up

The first event was the surprise reversal of the penalties levied against Hendrick Motorsports and the 48 team at Daytona. While Chief Appellate Officer John Middlebrook reversed the ruling of the three-member appeals panel on points and suspension penalties, he let the $100,000 fine for crew chief Chad Knaus stand. He modified the suspensions for Knaus and car chief Ron Malec to probation.

Review: 'Laramie Project' is the best play in years by Carson City players, directors
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Sun, 04/18/2010 - 1:57pmThere are at least a dozen reasons Carson folk should see the play "The Laramie Project" next weekend at the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall. But two should be enough to get you moving.
First, the play itself is intense, absorbing, dramatic, engaging. Maybe play isn’t the right word since this is a collection of comments made by Laramie residents before and after the murder of gay college student Matthew by beating and leaving to freeze on a Wyoming back road.
