At last year’s Nevada Day Classic, a lucky puppy raiser was presented with Nevada, then only 8 weeks old.

This 8k run and 2 mile run/walk brings together hundreds of runners and walkers of all shapes, and sizes who hit the streets of the historic West Side of Carson City with Guide Dog Puppies-in-Training who serve as course marshals to cheer them on!

Families and groups can participate in the walk, enjoy the race breakfast, and help celebrate Nevada by enjoying the Nevada Day Parade that immediately follows the Classic.
Tahoe Mountain Milers partner with Carson City Guide Dog Club for Nevada Day Classic

The races precede the Nevada Day Parade celebrating Nevada's entry into the Union.
This year, for the race's 25th anniversary and the Nevada’s 150th, the Classic will be organized in partnership with the Carson City Guide Dog Club and all net proceeds will go to Guide Dogs For The Blind.

Our $75.00 adoption fee covers spay/neuter, micro chip and vaccinations! We will be in the dog training area at the Carson City PetSmart and you're welcome to come play with these little spitfires. Not looking to adopt right now? Please consider a donation of dry or wet kitten food, litter or toys. We could sure use some help with this very busy kitten season.
