Good morning Carson City and happy Saturday! Today we’ve got a ton of great events, including three separate music festivals at Shoe Tree Brewing Co., Bowers Mansion, and the Brewery Arts Center!

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of activities around the Carson City region over the next three days, including the Jazz and Beyond Carson City Music Festival, a bluegrass festival at Bowers Mansion, Celtic favorites at the BAC, tours at the Nevada State Museum, train rides, standup comedy at the Carson Nugget, a block party at Silver Oak Golf Course, a Boy Scouts car show at Fuji Park, "'Kutz for Kids' and more.
Local nonprofit, Carson City Schools to provide students with back to school 'makeover'

August 17, 2019 - 4:45pm On Saturday, 10 children from low-income Carson City families will receive back-to-school makeovers as part of the "Cool School Renewal" event put on by Capital City CIRCLES Initiative.

August 17, 2019 - 5:00pm Come enjoy the fun at C.I.R.C.L.E.S. Cool School Renewal makeover event to see Carson City kids show off their new school picture day look! In addition to their new outfits, C.I.R.C.L.E.S. participants’ children will receive new fun, rad haircuts from The Cutting Edge hair salon. Their new looks will then be showcased in a big makeover reveal for all to see at!
