Registration is now open for the 4th Annual Minden Rotary Club's "Giving Cup" Golf Tournament fundraiser to be held on May 18, 2024, at Genoa Lakes Golf Course, and continues our commitment to at-risk youth in the Carson Valley.

What started as a small "Secret Santa" gift exchange six years ago among a group of Northern Nevada moms has blossomed into a powerful force for community betterment. These visionary women, driven by a shared bond and a passion for creating positive change, evolved their annual ladies' night out into the now widely recognized charity fundraiser — Mamas For A Cause.

Michael Reitman passed after a battle with cancer October of 2022 and in lieu of a Celebration of Life, requested this wonderful event be thrown for his children. The First Annual Mike Reitman Fundraiser will be held this Saturday, July 15th at Lampe Park.

In October of 2021, the Everywhen Project hosted its first permitted event in the Mojave Desert near Edwards, California and it was a huge success! Take a look at the video here. This event returns again this year in October and will be our second permitted event in 2022.

Heading into the weekend, there’s a mountain of activities around the Carson City region over the next three days. Events include a toy and gift drive for homeless kids and teens, the 12th annual Christmas Carol Playalong for Strings at the Carson Mall, Carson City’s first-ever "Unsilent Night" at the Brewery Arts Center, a Só Sol dinner with entertainment at Sassafras, a "Pink Party" cancer center fundraiser at the Lighthouse Bar, comedian Dan St. Paul at the Carson Comedy Club and more.

This Saturday, Dec. 21, the Lighthouse Bar in Carson City is hosting a “Pink Party” charity event with money to be donated to the Carson Tahoe Cancer Center.

Indoor cyclists burned at least 2,000 calories and rode about 50 miles within the first 20 minutes at Life Cycle Elite Spin Studio's 24-hour community ride Friday.

The event was organized by Jill Larson, who coordinated with the Boys and Girls Club of Northern Nevada and the Healthy Habits Program.

A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday for felony suspicion of battery with a deadly weapon, gross misdemeanor child endangerment, and two misdemeanors, a sheriff’s deputy said.

GARDNERVILLE — The 8th annual charity golf tournament weekend “For the Kids” hosted by Mike Tice, former head coach of the Minnesota Vikings and more recently offensive line coach for the Oakland Raiders, will take place June 15-17.

The Carson City community held its third annual Holiday Crawl Benefit 2017 on Saturday to raise money for the Holiday with a Hero campaign that gives local homeless children a chance to shop for themselves and family for Christmas. The downtown Carson City event was attended by more than 400 people, up about 100 from last year, organizers say.

Remember the days when it seemed like there was no one available to help with homework? Well that excuse will not work anymore, at least not at Carson High School.

Women love to shop, and guys walk around carrying their purchases, right? Well, maybe. It sure sounds like a stereotypical shopping experience, but it is not. The Carson High School Holiday Craft Fair, the area's best Christmas holiday shopping experience, is coming Nov. 17-18, and it is a time for ladies to purchase physical items and men to enjoy kinds of available food groups.

The million-selling band Rednex is in the line-up for the upcoming memorial event for Deputy Howell in Carson City on August 19. To complement their first visit to the US have they released a song and video dedicated to Deputy Howell, who was tragically killed in the line of duty in 2015.

Mike Tice, offensive line coach for the Oakland Raiders football team brought his A-game to his 7th annual charity golf tournament weekend in June featuring the entire Raiders coaching staff, including head coach Jack Del Rio and a spate of former NFL players from around the country. The event doubled its take this year, including a match from Carson Valley Inn owner, Mike Pegram to over $300,000.

While the first goal could be from any teenager’s to do list, Autumn Cuellar of Carson City is not just any teen, thus, goal number two.

Planes, trains, and bicycles are the theme of this Fathers’ Day weekend. Epic Rides has taken over downtown with booths, bikes, beer, music, and more. The Carson City Airport is hosting their annual Fly-in and Open house, complete with hot air balloon rides. World War II aviation buffs won’t want to miss the Wings of Freedom tour at the Minden Airport. Steampunk meets Steam trains at the Nevada Railroad Museum. The Carson Victory Rollers are holding their annual breast cancer awareness scrimmage, this year with a Halloween theme "Save the Boooo-bies"- Ghosts vs. Goblins.

$5 donation at the door with all proceeds going directly to local cancer foundations. Junior team skates at 5:00. Kids/Teens costume contest at 6:00. Adult scrimmage at 6:30.

Tickets are available for a Saturday crawfish feed and evening with Oakland Raiders Offensive Line Coach Mike Tice. The event will be at TJ's Corral at Carson Valley Inn, beginning at 7 p.m.

This is the kick off to the 5th Annual Mike Tice Charity Golf Tournament to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada.

Tickets for the crawfish feed charity event are $40 and includes food, beer and live music provided by "Decades."

The Sunday, June 21, golf tournament held at the Genoa Lakes Golf Course is sold out.

Project Carson City Empty Bowls Event will be featured at the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada on Friday, with free admission to the first 15 kids that make a bowl.
The event is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is sponsored by Deloitte Consulting. It is opened to all ages. Adults welcome. The Children's Museum is located at 813 N Carson St, Carson City.

Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern Nevada, a non-profit organization that houses families with children at local hospitals, will be bringing its Red Shoe Gala to the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno for a third year. The Oct. 10, 2014, event will raise funds for the organization’s mission with the theme “Make Someone Happy!”
