CASI Pooch Plunge

Thank you Carson Aquatics Center and Artistic Fence Company for helping CASI host another fantastic Pooch Plunge! The CASI team works year around to raise funds to help alleviate animal suffering through programs like Critter Fixer, our low cost spay/neuter voucher program for pets of low-income families.

Fall is officially here and summer has gone ... to the dogs.

Area canines and their owners gave summer and the outdoor pool at the Carson City Aquatic Facility a proper send off Saturday during the Carson Animal Services Initiative (CASI) Pooch Plunge, an annual fundraiser that helps "Critter Fixer," a low-cost spay and neuter voucher program run by CASI.

Mother Nature and Father Time often don't agree here in Northern Nevada. While the calendar marks today as the official start to Fall, the weather still feels like summer.

Join us for a goofy day at the pool with your favorite pooch! Sept. 22, Carson Aquatics Center, 841 N. Roop in Carson City. The fun starts from 9-10am little dogs only, 10am-3pm all sizes. See the website, www.friendsofcasi.org for information and details.

CASI would like to invite everyone to the year's best pooch pool party! Please join us on Sept. 22 for our annual Pooch Plunge to help support Critter Fixer, CASI's low cost spay/neuter voucher program.

9-10am is for little dogs and our three legged friends who need a calmer crowd. 10am-3pm the pool is open to all sizes of furry friends. Ramps, tennis balls, frisbees and towels will be ready!

Dogs made a big splash Saturday morning during the annual Carson Animal Services Initiative (CASI) Pooch Plunge in the outdoor pool at the Carson City Aquatics Facility in Carson City.

One might think that the end of summer means that the fun times are over: they would be wrong. This list of happenings in the Carson City area isn’t getting any shorter. The annual Genoa Candy Dance is a favorite among locals and visitors alike, and this weekend welcomes the first ever Silver State Arts Festival at Fuji Park, as well. The first ever Community Garage Sale at the Community Center offers one-stop bargain hunting. Swing into the season at the monthly dance party hosted by the High Sierra Swing Dance Club.

Cost: $10 for 1st dog, $6 for each additional dog

Rules:
1. One dog per human handler, each dog must have a registration form filled out, forms available at event.

The Carson Animal Services Initiative (CASI) hosted its 7th annual Pooch Plunge on Saturday. CASI provided tennis balls, extra towels and plenty of dog treats.

Good luck, Carson City. The options for this weekend are endless, but you can’t be everywhere at once. CASI’s annual Pooch Plunge at the Carson Aquatic Center is always a fun time for your furry friends. Red’s Old 395 welcomes back the THiNK PiNK kick-off to breast cancer awareness month. Get ready for the goofiest day of the year, the CASI Pooch Plunge! CASI is teaming with Carson City Aquatics Center, for a pool day! Stay as long or as little as you'd like and please bring a towel for your pooch.

The Dog Days of Summer have hit town, so grab your favorite four-legged friend and have fun. CASI is hosting the ‘pooch plunge’ at the Carson Aquatic Center so that your pooches can beat this late September heat. Join the Nevada Humane Society at Lake Tahoe Brewing Company for the first annual ‘Brew-paw.’ Adoptable pets, a raffle, and more await. Don’t miss out on the downtown walk Sunday following coffee and mimosas at Adele’s. The ‘wag-n-walk’ will end up at the Visitor’s Center where you will be rewarded with a special pet tag.
