Carson Tahoe Health is thrilled to announce the resounding community support of its annual Hopefest raffle and Think Pink+ event, held Friday, Oct. 6, 2023 at Red’s Old 395 Grill in Carson City.

Heading into the first day of October 2019, events around the capital city include a morning walk, evening hike and a bike ride with Muscle Powered, a historic talk about Frank Sinatra's gaming license at Lake Tahoe, a "Think Pink" breast cancer awareness event at Red's Old 395 Grill, a showing of the film classic "Charade" at the Brewery Arts Center and more.

The event is free to attend and individuals wearing a Carson Tahoe Think Pink T-shirt, the current one or from any year, will receive free appetizers courtesy of Red’s.

The annual kick-off to Breast Cancer Awareness Month returns with yummy appetizers, cold drinks, and plenty of pink. Red’s Old 395 Grill, 1055 S Carson St., will once again host the event from 5 to 7 p.m. in Carson City. The event is free to attend, and individuals wearing a Carson Tahoe Think Pink T-shirt (any year) will receive free appetizers courtesy of Red’s.

I’m usually a lover of sunny days, but right now I say bring on the rain. The moisture is a welcome help to our heroic firefighters in Lake Tahoe and Washoe Valley. Because of the wet weather and the recent fires, some activities have been postponed: most notably the Advocates to End Domestic Violence’s Annual Light After Dark Run. There are still plenty of things to occupy your time, but the weather may force more cancellations.
