This has presented challenges to many, including health systems near and far. Early this year, Carson Tahoe Health began to pivot service lines and conserve personal protective equipment (PPE).

Carson City Sheriff's Office respond to report of dead body found in hills near Lakeview
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Tue, 12/17/2019 - 3:30pmUPDATE 5:14PM: From Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong: At approximately 1:48 p.m., a hiker in the hills between Carson Tahoe Hospital and Lakeview Estates discovered the remains of a deceased older male. The remains were largely buried in snow. Detectives have processed the scene and removed the body for transport to the Washoe County Medical Examiners Office for an autopsy, scheduled for Thursday. Identification of the remains and cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner. No other information is available at this time.

Carson Tahoe Health, Rotary of Carson City celebrate Labyrinth anniversary and partnership
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Wed, 11/06/2019 - 8:57amWednesday marks 13 years since the opening of the outdoor Labyrinth located at the Carson Tahoe Cancer Center. The unique space was made possible through a generous donation from the Rotary Club of Carson City.
In 2006, under the leadership of past president Rafael Cappucci, the Rotary Club contributed $75,000 to build the Labyrinth, and gave another $200,000 in support of the Cancer Center project over a four-year period.
Carson Tahoe Health creates cancer triage line to assist patients with their treatment

The nurse triage line coordinates care between the patient, nurses, and physicians at the Cancer Center.

The newly designed space maximizes resources for quick care (testing and treatment) and serves as a monitored, internal waiting area. Newly carpeted and furnished, the triage area was completed and opened to patients just last week.
