The Carson Comedy Club at the Carson Nugget in Carson City presents the comedic stylings of Adam Stone this Friday, Sept. 15.

"Have fun, give fun" is the motto which embodies the comedy of Hawaiian native Stone. With an intent to truly embrace the moment and connect with people, Adam gets the audience laughing with well-crafted material, physical comedy, improvisation, and silly impressions, all through an onstage persona that is endearing and likeable.

One might think that after Labor Day, it starts to get quiet around here. They would be mistaken. September is chock-full of adventure, starting with this weekend’s Virginia City International Camel Races and the Great Reno Balloon Races. You won’t want to miss the last of the Third Street Stage Concerts in McFadden Plaza: Shane Dwight is tonight’s featured performer. It’s the last day to see the Photography and Regular Art Show at the Nevada Artists Association Gallery, they’ll have their new Autumn Show on display Sunday.

Labor Day weekend usually signifies the end of summer. Give it one heck of a send-off: the downtown Carson wine walk, rib cook-off in Sparks, Virginia City's Civil War Days, and the Heavenly Days carnival, music festival and car show in South Lake Tahoe are but a few of your options. Tonight, Improv at the Brewery Arts Center will get the belly laughs going. Unwind with some live music at Living the Good Life or some karaoke at the Spoke Bar and Grill. Adults will enjoy an outdoor concert at Living the Good Life with Mo'z Motley Blues Band - just make sure to wish the proprietress a happy birthday. Fallon might be a few miles away, but their Cantaloupe Festival, Carnival, and Country Fair is sure to make up for the drive with delicious offerings and a fun country tribute concert.

A professional actress, you can see her as the new recurring character New Fiona on Shameless Season 7. She will be seen in the feature Shattered, release date 2017. She costars in a feature film Creative Differences. Was a featured mom commentator on The Mom Rules webseries and did the pilot, for Nickelodeons new network, NickMOM called road mamas which she also co-created. You can also see her comic acting regularly and various sketches for CONAN.

Carson Comedy continues our new comedy series at the Brewery Arts Center, Carson City’s premiere epicenter for the arts since 1976 with a Friday night performance featuring comedian Chris Franjola.

Chris is a writer/comedian who began his comedy career on Long Island. Chris was a writer and a regular performer on E!’s hit show “Chelsea Lately" for 8 years.

Together with the talented writing staff, Chris wrote over 1500 episodes while performing on the show more than anyone else besides Chelsea Handler and Chuy.
