RISE Carson City Gives Back to Local Veterans

This Veterans Day, RISE Carson City, Carson City’s first medical cannabis dispensary, is giving back in a big way. 10% of all sales this Friday, November 11th will be donated to Northern Nevada Veteran’s Resource Center.

“As a Vet and a registered medical cannabis patient, it’s incredible to be part of a team that cares so much about the community, particularly the Veteran community. It hits home and it means a lot,” said RISE Assistant Manager Brian Church.

South Lake Tahoe marijuana collective raided Monday

A large team made up of members from multiple agencies served a search warrant on South Lake Tahoe's sole marijuana collective and the home of its owner, Cody Bass, early Monday morning.

Agents from the Franchise Tax Board, Board of Equalization, Department of Insurance, South Lake Tahoe Police Department, and El Dorado County Sheriff's Department were on scene at the Tahoe Wellness Cooperative, according to Tami Grimes, information officer with the FTB in Sacramento.

Man arrested after drug team finds 300 pounds of pot trim at South Lake Tahoe home

A South Lake Tahoe man was arrested early Thursday by South Lake Tahoe, El Dorado County Narcotics Enforcement Team officers after they served a search warrant and found around 300 pounds of marijuana plant trimmings.

Dwayne Allan Crenshaw, 36, was arrested at his Fresno Avenue home and is accused of using the trimmings to create concentrated cannabis oils through several methods, including butane fuel extraction, a dangerous process that can cause an explosion and is a felony in California.
