Alzheimer's disease is not a normal part of aging. It's a disease of the brain that causes problems with memory, thinking and behavior. Join the Alzheimer's Association of Northern Nevada for a free presentation Jan. 28 in Gardnerville to learn about the impact of Alzheimer's, the difference between Alzheimer's and dementia, Alzheimer's disease stages and risk factors, and current research and treatments available to address some symptoms.

The Alzheimer’s Association hosted Dementia Conversations at the Carson City Library on Dec. 11, 2019. This event was held to address areas of concern expressed by dementia caregivers and professionals who attended the Carson City Alzheimer’s Community Forum earlier this year.

Skip the line on the official walk day and instead sign up Tuesday at an early bird registration gathering for the 2019 Northern Nevada Walk to End Alzheimer’s, which takes place Saturday, Sept. 21.

The early registration and gathering will take Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at 639 Isbell Road, Suite 240 in Reno.
