Carson City arrests: Man known as ‘Tattoo Mike’ now in custody on burglary charges

A man known as “Tattoo Mike” who had been wanted by Carson City Sheriff’s Office investigators for suspicion of felony burglary was captured Friday night at a College Parkway apartment, a Carson City sheriff’s detective said.

Carson City arrests: Deputies find guns, marijuana after search warrant issued

A 46-year-old woman and her 17-year-old son were arrested early Saturday, each facing drug and weapons charges, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Nevada recycled art contest underway, submissions due Oct. 23

CARSON CITY, NV – The Nevada Recycles program has partnered with The Venetian and The Palazzo in Las Vegas to support a statewide recycled art contest to increase Nevadans’ awareness and interest in recycling.

Entrants must be Nevada residents and projects must be composed of used recyclable materials. Submission of an entry form and photos of artwork are due by October 23, 2016.

Carson City Sheriff’s Office DARE officer Lisa Davis holds the receipt for these items rung up at Grocery Outlet in preparation of Tuesday’s National Night Out from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mills Park. Second suspect in Carson City auto parts store robbery in custody

The second suspect in an armed robbery Monday night of an O’Reilly auto parts store on North Carson Street was arrested Friday in Reno, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Jermaine Jordan, 31, turned himself into Washoe County Sheriff’s Office on a robbery with use of deadly weapon warrant issued out of Carson City Justice Court alleging his involvement in the auto parts store robbery.

Two women were arrested on suspicion of felony possession with intent to sell after officers recovered marijuana, paraphernalia, cash and a firearm following a traffic stop that led to a property search, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

A robbery at a north Carson City convenience store early Thursday morning ended when the suspect jumped inside a Carson City sheriff’s patrol car, fought with a deputy inside the car, rammed the car into a second patrol car and then plowed through a fence into an apartment building storage unit.
