Afraid of Bugs? Not Joshua Thornton of Skeleton Skin Tattoo. After three long hours and five artists simultaneously tattooing a trail of 420 ants throughout his body, Josh Thornton has received the Guinness World Record Title for Most Insects Tattooed on the Body.

Carson Middle School is hosting a Family Engagement Night on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Join us for food and fun. Activities will include Lunar Landers, Tumblewings, Makers Club, Lego Robotics, Scholastic Book Fair, archery, cupcake decorating and much more. Hot dogs will be served! We hope to see you there.

Even though homecoming has now concluded, Carson High School is by no means finished with its current and upcoming events. Not only is the CHS National Honor Society Blood Drive coming up, Oct. 6 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the small gym, but Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval proclaimed Oct. 3-7 to be the “Week of Respect” throughout the state of Nevada.

Do you want to build a snowman, Carson City? That may be ambitious with our first dusting of snow, but I’m sure you could finagle a snowball or two.

That time of the month is upon us again and here is your opportunity to help the students and staff at Eagle Valley Middle School by coming down to the Pizza Factory on Highway 50 East and enjoying some AWESOME food while raising some dough!
From opening to closing, the owners of Pizza Factory will generously donate 20 percent of the entire day's earnings back to our school to help with the Library book fair. How easy is that?
Please help us out and mange some fabulous pizzas, calzones, wings or Italian sandwiches.

It is time to kick off the new 2015 School Year with a great opportunity of getting some awesome food and helping the students at Eagle Valley Middle School.

This Thursday is EVMS Day at the Carson City Pizza Factory of Highway 50 East. The generous owners will donate 20 percent of the entire day's earnings to the EVMS PTO. This month's rewards will go to the Library's Book Fair Program.

National Grammar Day is celebrated across the United States each year on March 4, as established in 2008 by Martha Brockenbrough, founder of the Society for the Promotion of Good Grammar. I've attached a Weird Al Yankovic song that I believe best pokes fun at the sentiments of the day.

Today is National Pancake Day, so head over to the International House of Pancakes for your free short stack and donate to this year’s charity, the Children’s Miracle Network. It is also National ‘I Want You to Be Happy Day.’ Pancake Day and trying to share a smile, ergo silly picture of a bunny with a pancake on its head. Find your own way to share some happiness today.

The Carson Tahoe Health Auxiliary is sponsoring a Spring Book Fair and Sale in the lobby of the Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. The sale will be held on Tuesday, March 3, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesday, March 4, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come and shop the large variety of books, toys, CD’s and gifts. This is a great place to find a gift for birthdays, Easter, Mother’s and Father’s Day and graduations.

Carson City Library is an officially designated place in Carson City to drop-off holiday cheer, in the form of giving, to so many of our area residents in need of a little festive spirit and warmth.
