Carson City arrests: Man who ran 'out of his shoes' during pursuit arrested on drug charges

A Dayton man was arrested Monday for multiple felony drug offenses following a brief pursuit in which he apparently lost his shoes, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.

A 40 year-old Sparks woman was arrested Friday night for suspicion of felony drug possession and a lesser charge after the vehicle she was driving had been stopped for impeding traffic, a Carson City sheriff's deputy reported.

A 66 year-old male transient was arrested Friday afternoon at 12:24 p.m. in the area of N. Carson and W. Ann streets in downtown Carson City for gross misdemeanor indecent exposure after multiple witnesses observed him with his pants down, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported.

Celtic music favorites Tres Noctambule rescheduled Carson City show set for April 6

After snow storms forced the cancellation of its Feb. 16 Carson City show, Celtic music favorites Tres Noctambule have reschedule and will play at the Brewery Arts Center on April 6, 2019 at 7 p.m.

Celtic mandolin master Marla Fibish, and guitarist Bruce Victor will be joining forces with Marin County's Irish fiddle virtuoso Suzuki Cady. With elegant performances of intimate songs and intricate Celtic tunes, Noctambule remains a BAC favorite since the beginning of our Celtic Music Series.

Carson City Classic Cinema Club presents 'It Happened One Night' at the BAC

After February's weather delay, the Carson City Classic Cinema Club has rescheduled its screening of "It Happened One Night" for Tuesday, March 26.

The film stars Cary Grant and Claudette Colbert in a lighthearted "road movie" long before Hope and Crosby came along.

The doors of the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall (511 W. King Street) open at 6 p.m.; intro and trivia at 6:30 p.m. and the film showing at 7 p.m. General admission is $4 per person and the popcorn is always free!

Free self defense class this Saturday at Carson City's Brewery Arts Center

Idealists of Carson City, a club for positive change that meets monthly at the Brewery Arts Center, will have its next meeting on March 16, at 3 p.m. and the public is invited.

We have scheduled a self-defense class. The class will be upstairs in the Brewery Arts Ballroom, 449 King Street, Carson City. The instructor is Sean Morey, a martial arts teacher. Please wear comfortable clothing, and invite anyone you think would benefit from and enjoy this presentation. This event is free, however a $5 donation for the instructor is appreciated.
