“Open a New World,” the fifth annual Nevada Humanities Literary Crawl, will take place Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., featuring an exploratory afternoon and evening of fiction, non-fiction, and poetry readings, as well as panel discussions, book signings, and workshops.

“A connection with nature and the cosmos were always fundamental for me,” Caitlin Jemma says. “As a teenager I didn’t appreciate it as much. But in retrospect, I’m really glad I had time in nature.”

CARSON CITY — Gov. Brian Sandoval announced Friday that he has appointed Ann Wilkinson Chairman of the Nevada Public Utilities Commission, effective Sept. 17. Wilkinson will fill the unexpired term of Joe Reynolds.
