Carson City Relay for Life team raises money with tattoo fundraiser
Submitted by editor on Sun, 06/02/2013 - 9:16amEach year people across the country participate in Relay for Life to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. This year one local team is taking a creative approach to raise money and awareness.
The Carson City-based "bullseye" team is working with Distinct Ink Tattoo for tattoos for a cause - an event that will help them reach their goal of five thousand dollars and leave participants with a permanent symbol of their support.
Distinct Ink to donate proceeds from tattoos to Relay for Life
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Mon, 05/27/2013 - 12:30amDistinct Ink in Carson City will participate in Tattoos for a Cure, Saturday, June 1 to benefit Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society.
Walk in-only customers from noon to 8 p.m. can get a one size tattoo, any color, placed anywhere. For every $40 spent on tattoos, $20 will be donated to Relay for Life. Tattoos will be done by Zach and Lori Mueller and John Seaver.

The American Cancer Society’s Bark For Life is a noncompetitive walking event for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society’s fight against cancer.
Bark For Life honors the life long contributions of canine caregivers. It presents an opportunity for people to be empowered through their canine companion partnerships and to contribute to the mission of the American Cancer Society to eliminate cancer as a major health problem.
