Heading into Tuesday, May 28, 2019 there's sunshine in our midst or so says weather forecasters. We're looking at highs in the upper 60s. On tap for the day we have morning and evening walks, a bicycle ride for ladies, an archery shoot at Centennial Park, a Tip-A-Cop fundraiser in Gardnerville to support Special Olympics, a meeting of the Carson City school board and more.

Memorial Day is the day we celebrate those men and women who passed while serving in the United States Armed Forces. There are events Monday in Carson City at the Stewart Indian School Cemetery and at Lone Mountain Cemetery and in Fernley at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
Go Fund Me account established for Carson City man awaiting kidney transplant
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Sun, 05/26/2019 - 3:29pmA Carson City couple is in need of financial help to relocate briefly to Utah where they will be awaiting a kidney transplant to happen. Friends and family of the couple have established a Go Fund Me page to help with the expenses.
Gabe Torres of Carson City has irreparable damage to his kidney from Type 1 diabetes. Gabe and his wife, Megan, plan to relocate to Utah for the surgery and are in need of financial help to cover living expenses involved with their stay.

Guests will experience a 24-mile round-trip ride through the historic Comstock, departing Carson City (Eastgate Depot) at 10 a.m. and will arrive in Virginia City at approximately 11:30 a.m., before returning to Carson at 4:15 p.m.

Addiction in Carson City: a mother’s story of heartbreak, and a daughter’s struggle for recovery

Her mother, Kristi, has been fighting to keep her daughter alive since then, facing numerous near-death scares.

At the end of the week before Spring Break, at 8:30 p.m., the final pages were submitted, and the book was officially finished. After months of interviewing, photographing, and editing, the book is currently being printed by Walsworth Publishing Co., in Marceline, Kansas.
