Carson City-based In Plain Sight Marketing's Elizabeth Pearson earns Certificate in Principles of Public Relations

CARSON CITY, Nev. — In Plain Sight Marketing LLC public relations and account specialist, Elizabeth Pearson has earned the Certificate in Principles of Public Relations by the Public Relations Society of America.

The entry-level certificate administered by the Universal Accreditation Board is awarded to recent graduates of the Public Relations Student Society of America to demonstrate their proficiency in the public relations field.

Gardnerville receives 2020 Main Street America Accreditation

The Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) has announced that seven communities in Nevada have been recognized by Main Street America for their demonstrated commitment to comprehensive commercial district revitalization and proven track record of successfully applying the Main Street ApproachTM.

• Gardnerville received the top tier of recognition being designated as a 2020 Accredited Main Street AmericaTM program.

State of Nevada receives emergency management reaccreditation

Governor Steve Sisolak received notification from the Emergency Management Accreditation Program Commission that the State of Nevada has achieved reaccreditation. This achievement was approved through a rigorous and voluntary assessment process coordinated through the Department of Public Safety’s Division of Emergency Management, Homeland Security. The State was notified of the approval last week.

UPDATE: Washoe Health testing results for Huffaker students come back negative

UPDATE MONDAY: The Washoe County Health District (WCHD) conducted COVID-19 testing Friday and all tests came back negative including all students at Huffaker Elementary School who were tested. The negative result includes the family member (a Huffaker student) of the resident who tested presumptive positive for COVID-19 on Thursday.

Care Flight Expands to 24-Hour, 7-Day Service in Fallon
