TOCCATA’s 18th season wraps up in December with holiday favorite Handel's Messiah
TOCCATA, the Tahoe Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, has five holiday performances of Handel's Messiah Dec. 9-23 in South Lake Tahoe, Truckee, Incline Village, Gardnerville and Reno.
Joyous refrains and exultant arias, including the iconic "Hallelujah" Chorus, will fill the concert hall this holiday season. This Baroque masterwork, expressing the themes of hope, redemption and grace, showcases the magnificent artistry and skill of our celebrated orchestra and chorus, complemented by exceptional soloists. Join us for this wonderful holiday tradition!
This holiday concert also includes "O Holy Night" and other seasonal carols that the audience will be most welcome to join in singing.

The Messiah series marks the completion of TOCCATA's 18th Season. Joining the TOCCATA Tahoe Symphony Orchestra and Chorus for this production are Joy Strotz, Anne Davidson, and Madison Hatten sopranos; Amanda Price, mezzo; Robert Bousquet, Michael Lloyd, tenors; and Chris Nelson and Erik Linnell, baritones. The TOCCATA Chamber Orchestra features David Brock and Nick Haines as continuo; and William Cates and Joe Savage on Baroque trumpets. All performances will be conducted by Maestro James Rawie.
