Audience Members Get in on the Act in 'The Great Gadfly'
Audience members turned wanna-be detectives are loving The Great Gadfly. Produced by the Proscenium Players, Inc. (PPI) the show is an interactive murder mystery filled with a mischievous cast of characters.
The mystery begins when a buffoonish party host is discovered dead by his conniving and self-absorbed guests.
When the often-bumbling detective is stumped, audience members are invited to join in the suspect questioning.
“Audience reaction and participation has been fabulous,” said PPI member and actor Rachelle Resnick. “They're laughing a lot, asking great and often funny questions during the interrogation, and enjoying conversations with the characters before the show,” adding “It’s really a wonderful way to spend an evening or afternoon.”
The play write, Northern Nevada Resident Frank Riley, attended the performance last Sunday.
“We loved having him there,” Resnick said. “We were honored that he attended. We think he wrote a great who dunnit and it appears the audience agrees.”
