Carson City Walmart to host 'grand re-opening' Friday morning
Carson City’s Walmart will be hosting a grand re-opening celebrating the updates they have completed across the last several months.
The store, located on Market Street, first opened in October of 2005, according to Richard Peden, an optician with Walmart, and after 17 years they wish to invite the community to celebrate their grand re-opening.
Updates include cosmetic changes such as new paint, signing, restrooms and more, as well as a “streamlined” operation which includes more self checkout lanes, and a new heightened focus on pick up and local deliveries, said Peden.
The grand reopening will take place this Friday, Oct. 21 at 7:30 a.m. which will include a ribbon cutting, a DJ, vendors, and baked goods.
