Nevada's unemployment rate stays steady in August, Carson City at 3.8 percent
Seasonally adjusted estimates account for regularly seen economic patterns, with the following estimates not seasonally adjusted.
According to DETR, in the state’s three Metropolitan Statistical Areas, the unemployment rates were 3.8 percent in the Carson City, 3.4 percent in Reno and 5.7 percent in the Las Vegas area. In July unemployment was 3.6 percent in the Carson City area, 3.2 percent in Reno and 5.6 percent in the Las Vegas area.
In Nevada’s counties, the lowest unemployment rate was in White Pine County at 3.1 percent, and Nye County had the highest rate at 5.9 percent. This marks the first time since the onset of the pandemic that Clark County does not have the state’s highest unemployment rate. For a look at the unemployment rate by county, go here.
