United Blood Services in Carson City hosts 9/11 Heroes Remembered drive
United Blood Services invites the public to its annual 9/11 Heroes Remembered Blood Drive, today, September 11, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 256 E Winnie Lane, Carson City.
A presentation will begin at 3 p.m. with a Color Guard, patriotic songs by Rick Radecki, and food provided by Reds Old 395 Grill and San Marcos Grill. All blood donors will received a 9/11 commemorative T-shirt.
Blood donors can bring items that will be sent as care packages to our troops and/or Veteran’s Hospital. Also, bring a photo of your family member or friend in the Armed Services, first responders or a veteran to be displayed in September.
Representatives to attend the blood drive are members of the Carson City Sheriff’s Department/K-9 Unit, Carson City Fire Department, members of our Armed Forces branches, Carson City High School NJROTC Color Guard, and the Carson City Chamber of Commerce.
