Carson City Humane Society’s Pet of the Week: Wu
Good morning Carson City!
Have you met Wu? She has been in the Carson Shelter since early March and is ready to find her home. Wu was surrendered due to financial hardship from her previous owners, so she is in the shelter due to no fault of her own.
Wu is the definition of tortitude. She can be slow to adjust to new situations and loves her alone time. While curious and shy around other cats, she’d prefer to be the only cat in the home, and no kiddos please- little ones make her nervous. All in all, her and her huge purr-sonality would do best with experienced cat owners.
Wu loves comfy chairs and blankets and makes funny faces often, which is why cat staff loves this silly girl. She’ll crack you up with her cat antics and is the best at having conversations with you when she comes out of her shell.
“Some call me pampered, but I’m just a gal who knows what she likes. A comfy chair to sit on? Most definitely. Endless catnip? Without a doubt. A steady flow of treats and attention? Why sure, if you are offering! Joking aside, I really am looking for a sweet person who I can spend my time with and shower with affection. Maybe it's you?”
Wu also wants you to check out the Duck Race on August 12 at Wingfield Park in Reno. You can purchase ducks for a chance to win a new 2023 Toyota Corolla or $15,000 cash, all generously donated by Carson City Toyota. Click here to learn more!”
