Great Basin Brewery holds Ribbon Cutting for new location in Carson City
Great Basin Brewery held their formal ribbon cutting celebration on June 23 attracting many to toast the new venture between Bonda and Tom Young who started the brewery and renown Chef and restaurateur Mark Estee of the Local Food Group.
Formerly known as The Union since 2017, Great Basin Brewery is now open for business in the heart of the downtown serving their signature craft beers and pub food.
On hand to assist with the Chamber sponsored event was Mayor Lori Bagwell, Chamber Chair Kris Wells, the entire Estee family, Brewmaster Tom Young, and many chamber members and friends who cheerfully toasted the new partnership.
Since Young started brewing craft beers 28 years ago, they have won 16 medals at the Great American Beer Festival and nine at the International World Beer Cup. This is Nevada’s oldest microbrewery.
The lively brewery/eatery is located at 302 North Carson Street and is open daily between 11 am until 8:30 pm
