Axe throwing comes to Carson City at Carson Raceway Go-Kart track, now under new ownership
Carson City's Carson Raceway go karting track is now under new ownership, and has added a new activity to the roster: Axe throwing!
Axe throwing has risen in popularity throughout the country in recent years, in which participants stand inside of a safety zone much like a batting cage and throw axes towards a static target. While there are axe throwing locations in Reno, this is the first of its kind in the capital city.
The go kart track has also been updated and repaired by the new owners, who are now offering a flat fee of $12 for both courses: ten laps on the road course and 20 laps on the oval course.
The road course is available Sunday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, while the oval course is available Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
As before, helmets are required and participants must be 48 inches tall.
Axe throwing is $15 for 30 minutes per person.
Between races, participants can play at the pool table, enjoy the arcade, or snack on candy, popcorn and sodas.
Carson Raceway is located at 3777 N. Carson St.
