Keeping the queen warm, Nevada beekeepers prepare for spring
Bees are integrally connected to the environment, and though there are thousands of pollinator species around the planet, bees are the leading pollinator of plants. In the US there are as many as 3,500 species of bees, and according to several estimates, about 1/3 of what we eat relies on bee pollination, but in recent years, bee colonies have been failing at an alarming rate for a variety of reasons. In Nevada there is a robust community of beekeepers.
