Nevada State Children's Home experience featured at state archives monthly brown bag lunch
The Nevada State Library and Archives Brown Bag Lunch and Archives Appetizer talk for November will be with Bonnie Boice Nishikawa who will share memories of her childhood in the Nevada State Children's Home, where she lived with her brother and sister from 1942-1955.
The "Home", also known as fondly as "Sunny Acres," operated in Carson City for nearly 120 years, providing shelter and stability for Nevada's disadvantaged children.
The event is Tuesday, Nov. 13, from 12 to 1 p.m. at the Nevada State Library and Archives, 100 North Stewart Street, No. 100 in Carson City.
