Nevada Day Classic 8K run, 2-mile walk race returns Saturday for 35th year
Racing to its 35th year, Tahoe Mountain Milers invites all to participate in the Nevada Day Classic 8K run and 2-mile walk Saturday through the tree lined streets of downtown and historic west side of Carson City.
Organizers of the signature race, which is ahead of the famed Nevada Day parade, is generously donating the proceeds to Guide Dogs For the Blind-Reno Puppy Raisers.
The race starts at 8 a.m. on Carson Street in front of the Carson Nugget. Costumes are encouraged. This year’s theme is "Home Means Nevada" so be creative and be part of the fun.
Organizers will be awarding the best group and individual costumes. All runners of all distances will receive a custom wooden medal. The first 300 runners that register are guaranteed a t-shirt.

The Nevada Day Classic is organized by Tahoe Mountain Milers in partnership with Guide Dog for the Blind, Kaia Fit, Delta Gamma, and Lynn Mentzer Timing.
