Silver City is throwing a party! It’s Silver Palooza 2021 on Saturday, August 28 from 12-6 pm, the town park will be full of music, art activities, a beer and wine bar and a cake walk to raise funds for the historic School House Community Center.
Folks (kid friendly!) are invited to bring lawn chairs and spend the afternoon in the beautiful grassy, tree filled park listening to music, dancing, making art at this end of summer festival celebrating community.
Featured musical guests are the popular Latin rock band from Reno Drinking with Clowns, Silver City post-punk rock band American Phlats, charming local ukulele duo Betty & James and Silver City’s own singer-songwriter Smilin’ Bob.
A committee of art enthusiasts and crafts people are planning hands on art activities. Some of the town’s finest bakers will provide the trophy bakes for the cake walk. There will also be a book tent where there will be free (or for an optional donation) books.
