An Assault Against The First Amendment
As reported in the Nevada Appeal and on Carson Now:
“Carson City Supervisor, Brad Bonkowski’s …campaign signs were vandalized, defaced and destroyed sometime during the night. The signs were all spray-painted with black paint.
He said it’s obvious he was the specific target of the vandals since other campaign signs for different candidates around his signs were untouched.
Bonkowski said at $24 per sign and $20 to remove the old sign and install a new one, his cost totals $880. In addition, one of fellow candidate John Barrette’s signs was damaged — a $44 cost.
Defacing campaign signs is destruction of property and can be treated as a felony if total damages exceed a certain amount.”
After I became aware of this story, I waited for a response from their opponents to condemn this juvenile and obscene act, but it was not forthcoming.
Nor, did I see the Carson City Democrat Party, or the Carson City Republican Party, publicly condemned this overt act against the First Amendment rights of Mr. Bonkowski’s and Mr. Barrette’s right to express their political positions via their campaign signs. Apparently, both political parties in Carson City, and by their silence have condoned this assault against free speech.
Due to the Open Meeting Law, the members of the Carson City Board of Supervisors were prohibited from making a public declaratory statement against this type of conduct, and I can find no fault with their position. They believe in the “rule of law” as do I.
This political act of vandalism was well coordinated and specifically targeted against these two honorable men, but it was also targeted and collectively aimed against the good people of Carson City and the State of Nevada. If the criminal acts committed by these simple-minded creatures are ignored, then we will all bathe in the same sewer in which they reside!
I have no idea what political and primordial toxic pond of scum spawned these sub-human hominids, but I have my solidified suspicions. After an analysis of any observation that leads one to articulated facts, it will always lead you to the source, and that source in this particular case can only be backtracked to those individual candidates who are running for office and are opposed to Brad Bonkowski and John Barretee.
However, I think I know the people who are responsible and have given their tacit approval of this attack on the First Amendment.
They are cowards, hiding in shadows of extremism they intentionally remain anonymous, unwilling, afraid, and incapable of revealing themselves to the public to defend their quest for absolute purity of their fascist political ideology, and all too willing to impose their will on others.
They are cheap political pimps, who unfortunately, have been successful in turning out their cheap political whores to commit crimes in their name.
Carson City deserves better!
