A new local custom automotive shop is set to open in Carson City to help personalize your vehicle.

Carson Built Customs, located at 220 E. William St., specializes in custom powder coatings, metal works, CNC fabrication as well as custom installations for automobiles and motorcycles. No exact date has been set for when the business opens. Thomas Purnal, owner of Carson Built Customs, said he plans on opening to the public by mid-July.

A second hand store has opened up shop on Highway 50 E. in Carson City near Airport Road, and it’s offering 5,000 square feet of unique offerings.

PlayBox Marketplace opened their new location at 3060 U.S. Highway 50 E. on June 1 according to owner Alex Kyser, after they moved from a much smaller location near Classy Seconds.

Carson City's Duke’s Steak House among first casino restaurants to reopen under phase 1

This Friday, May 22 at 4 p.m. Casino Fandango’s award-winning Duke’s Steak House in Carson City will reopen to the public. As part of phase one reopening, the Nevada State Gaming Control Board is allowing restaurants inside casinos to open provided certain industry-specific criteria are met; Duke’s will be one of the first to reopen in Northern Nevada.

Nevada State Bank Secured Approval For 4200+ PPP Loans, Helping Northern Nevada Businesses And NonProfits

RENO - Based on processed applications as of May 13, 2020, Nevada State Bank has announced approval for 4,255 U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans totaling $592,005,500.

More than 68% of the loans were made to businesses with fewer than 10 employees and approximately 82% of the loans approved were for amounts less than $150,000 (57% for amounts less than $50,000). The funding will help preserve payrolls for 65,607 Nevada jobs, based on applicant data.
