Carson City SET deputies arrest juvenile homicide suspect in traffic stop along with four other suspects
Submitted by Kelsey Penrose on Thu, 06/29/2023 - 3:07pmOn June 29, 2023, at about 5:39 p.m., A Special Enforcement Team detective noticed a vehicle committing an improper stop at a red light at North Carson and West Musser. The detective conducted a traffic stop and contacted the driver, identified as 36-year-old Navdip Kahira. A male and female juvenile were also in the vehicle at the time of the traffic stop.
Potential Harmful Algal Bloom identified in Washoe Lake, pets and humans should avoid water contact

The Interagency HAB Task Force – comprised of officials from the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services, the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection, Nevada State Parks, and the Nevada Department of Wildlife – are working together to ensure the public is notified to help protect the health of park visitors and their pets.
