Armed standoff between Carson City deputies, disturbed woman resolved, no injuries, woman safe

UPDATE 12:26 p.m.: She is in custody and unharmed, but very dehydrated. No injuries reported.

UPDATE: As of 12:16 p.m. it appears the woman has surrendered to deputies following a nearly three hours long stand off in the area of Prison Hill. No injuries have been reported. She set the fire arm down, put her hands on her head and knelt on the ground. Her vehicle is disabled.

A standoff in the hills near Prison Hill Tuesday morning is currently underway between Carson City Sheriff’s Office and a young woman who had claimed to have shot her mother, and is threatening to kill herself.
