Tuesday Evening Hike - Lepire Trail Sponsored by Muscle Powered

Meet at Moffat Open Space parking area on Hells Bells Road and Parkhill Drive. Some elevation on pavement. We will also walk on sidewalks through the neighborhood near the trail. Bring a flashlight. Water and sturdy closed-toed shoes are required.
For the winter, these hikes moved onto paved sidewalks and paths in Carson City and will be 4-6 miles in length. If it is raining or snowing, hikes will be cancelled.
Snowshoe Thompson Ski and Snowshoe Celebration returns March 2
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Sat, 02/23/2019 - 1:03pmThe 19th annual Snowshoe Thompson Ski and Snowshoe Celebration returns once again to the Sierra on Saturday, March 2 at 9:30 a.m. at the Lake Tahoe Golf Course in South Lake Tahoe.
Event activities begin with a guided tour over the snow starting at 9:30 a.m. with Norwegian native and longboard ski expert Nina MacLeod, who will also give a longboard ski demonstration. Attendees may bring their own snowshoes and cross country skis, or rent snowshoes from the Lake Tahoe Golf Course.
