Carson City sheriff's deputies make weekend arrests for larceny, DUI and domestic battery

A 35-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday, 7:57 a.m. in the 1200 block of South Carson Street for misdemeanor petit larceny and possession of a shopping cart, a sheriff's deputy said.

This week kicks off “School Choice Week,” an annual awareness movement that supports parents and children being able to choose their own schooling options, and Nevada students came out to support the cause by marching in front of the Capitol building in Carson City Tuesday morning.

Capital Odyssey Relay

June 1, 2019 (All day) This one day Odyssey relay run will join the Reno-Tahoe Odyssey Relay in progress for the last 12 legs of the RTO course. The relay is from Carson City to Reno. Teams of typically 2-6 runners will be running 54 miles/12 legs.
