Carson City-based Pets of the Homeless celebrates 10 years as national nonprofit
Submitted by editor on Mon, 07/02/2018 - 3:08pmCARSON CITY — 2018 marks the 10-year anniversary for Pets of the Homeless, the only national nonprofit organization focused on feeding and providing care to pets of homeless people. In celebration of this milestone, Pets of the Homeless will host an open house July 27, from noon to 6 p.m. at its headquarters in Carson City, 400 West King Street.

UPDATE: Evans Fire in southwest Reno at 63 acres, 50 percent contained

Firefighters will continue to mop up and improve the line around the fire Monday afternoon. Helicopters will continue to be used to address smokes within the fire area.
