Carson High Girls Softball Fundrasier
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Mon, 11/20/2017 - 8:21amThe Carson Host Lions Club and the Carson Nugget are sponsoring a Grand Slam Musical event to support the Carson High School girls softball program. The event features local crooner Jimmy Mallett and a bevy of our young local talent.
The event will be held on Saturday January 13, 2018 from 6 P.M to 9 P.M in the Ballroom at the Carson Nugget.

Healthy Communities Coalition in Dayton will help you spruce up your holiday dinner during this month’s cooking demo: the pumpkin spice bars caught my eye. The fundraising for the victims of the Nov. 9 rollover accident continues tonight at Chili’s Restaurant. Head there for dinner and a portion of your check will benefit the teens that were injured. Help move your Monday along with something fun. Karaoke at the Fox Brewpub, a Monday Night Football party at Living the Good Life, or Game Night at Carson Cigar Co.
Carson City deputies in standoff with suicidal man at apartment

Carson City Fire Department investigates light smoke at Minnesota Street care facility
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Sun, 11/19/2017 - 2:45pmUPDATE 2:03PM: A mechanical issue is likely to blame for a presence of light smoke inside a Carson Tahoe Hospital care facility on North Minnesota Street, according to Carson City Fire Department Battalion Chief Dan Shirey. All those evacuated are now allowed back into the facility.

Capital Community Band presents free Dec. 3 holiday concert at Bob Boldrick Theatre
