Carson City Sheriff's Arrest Log: Detectives make arrest on felony sexual assault warrant

Carson City Sheriff's Office detectives served a felony warrant Saturday morning at 8:10 a.m. on 44 year-old Carson City resident Barrak Lauderbaugh at his residence in the 3700 block of Woodside Drive, according to the report by a Carson City Sheriff's detective.

Motor vehicle accident partially blocking Fairview Drive, Saliman Road

Carson City Sheriff's deputies are reporting motor vehicle accident with a vehicle partially blocking the intersection of Saliman Road and Fairview Drive at the southeast corner near the parking lot of a business.

No other details are available at this time. Motorists are advised to take an alternate route to avoid traffic back up in the area.

Carson City compiles photos, information as part of parks and trails flood assessment

Muscle Powered Weekly Bicycle Ride

Meet Sundays at 9:00 am at the Fremont Elementary School, 1511 Firebox Road, in the south parking lot, next to the Linear Ditch Trail.

Ride is free and will normally consist of two loops which are 10-15 miles long each, this will allow a rider to do 10-15 miles or 20-30 miles depending on the loops. The ride pace will vary depending on rider level, but will usually be about a 12-16 mph pace. This is a no drop ride.
