Michael Hohl Honda is proud to launch a food drive for the nonprofit organization Carson Valley Community Food Closet. They provide food on a monthly basis to qualifying residents in Douglas County. The Food Closet strives to provide a variety of healthy food from each food group relying on donations from the community.

Hot air balloons, the annual beard contest, the parade, tours of the Governor’s Mansion, and more make this time of year amazing. The carnival at Mills Park, and the Pow-Wow at the Carson Colony take the festivities to the next level.

Salvation Army Kettle Kick-Off

This is our first Kettle Kick-Off event at The Salvation Army Carson City Corps and hope you can make it. There will be food, silent auction, and kettle competition. All money raised throughout this event will benefit our community by feeding the hungry as well as aid in providing shelter, and clothing throughout the year and toys during the holiday season. This is a great opportunity to meet others and to be a part of making a difference and changing lives.

Festival of Trees Fundraiser Set by Senior Service Network

Individuals or businesses that wish to purchase a holiday tree, complete with decorations, can do so this year in Carson City.

The Senior Service Network, a non-profit organization that helps seniors in need with emergency expenses, is doing its inaugural “Festival of Trees” on Saturday, Nov. 21 at Carson Plaza – an independent senior living community at 2120 East Long Street in Carson City.

Carson City area casinos in September saw gaming earnings increase by 1.6 percent over table and slot revenue collected during the same time last year, according figures released Thursday by the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
