Nevada's early 'Sagebrushers' brought literary journalism to the American West

It came to life around 1860 and had run its course by the turn of the 20th century. In that ensuing 40 year time period some Sagebrushers became world renown.

The wine tasting and jazz event was a fundraiser for the Brewery Arts Center. Attendees sipped, sampled and tasted more than 40 wines from around the region, listened to great jazz and even danced into the evening.

Submitted by Jeff Munson on Sat, 01/19/2013 - 4:46pmHere is the Carson City road construction and maintenance report for the week of Jan. 21-27: There will be work on Snyder Avenue between Bigelow Drive and Center Drive due to utility relocation related to the next phase of the Carson City Freeway.
All of the work will be on the shoulder and no delays are expected.
On Tuesday, Jan. 22, there will be utility maintenance at the following locations. Temporary traffic control will be in place with minimal delays possible.

Hundreds Join Pro-Gun rally in Carson City

In Carson City, hundreds of people came together along Carson Street in a demonstration to show support for gun rights. Organizers emphasized it was an unarmed, peaceful rally.

Mr. Gallagher stated (and I am paraphrasing here) “our children are not allowed to pray in public schools”
“The United States Supreme Court has never held that students cannot pray in school.
