Carson City Sheriff's Office boosts enforcement to find impaired drivers during holidays

Each year, the holiday brings an increase of alcohol consumption, resulting in the surge of injuries and fatalities on Nevada’s roadways. With impaired driving and riding a top traffic problem for Nevada, the Carson City Sheriff’s Office is working in conjunction with agencies statewide aligned with Joining Forces to boost enforcement efforts from Dec. 16, 2016 through Jan. 3, 2017.

Carson City Sheriff: Two dead following vehicle rollover on Goni Canyon Road

UPDATE 9AM: Carson City School District Superintendent Richard Stokes offered condolences on behalf of Carson High School to family members after it was learned a 16-year-old CHS male student was killed in a rollover crash in Goni Canyon early this morning. An adult also died in the accident. The names of the victims have not been released.
