Legalization of recreational marijuana in Nevada last fall has brought forth new entrepreneurial opportunities in the Silver State since the first of the year.

Carson City is no exception.

Shoe Tree Brewing Company, located next door to Carson Hot Springs Resort, celebrated its grand opening Saturday with a ribbon cutting, live music and an array of signature craft brews for tasting.

The Carson Nugget in Carson City will celebrate the grand opening of its new Beer Bar on Friday, April 21. The Beer Bar is a concept bar that offers only bottled beer from an open-to-the-casino cube with high-def TV’s, all the way around, to deliver the most in-demand sports and entertainment.
